Monogen 400g
Monogen is a nutritionally complete, low-fat, powdered feed containing whey protein, carbohydrate, low in long-chain triglycerides (LCTs) and high in medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. Monogen can be recommended for use in infants as a sole source of nutrition or as a supplementary feed for children for the dietary management of the following conditions: 1. Hyperlipoproteinaemia type 1 2. Long-chain fatty acid oxidation defects 3. Intestinal lymphangiectasia. 4. Chylothorax (some patients may require lower long-chain fat) 5. Intractable malabsorption with steatorrhoea. Available in 400g re-sealable tin.
Indications
For use in infants as a sole source of nutrition or as a
supplementary feed for children and adults for the
dietary management of the following conditions:
• Hyperlipoproteinaemia type 1
• Long-chain fatty acid oxidation defects (LCHAD)
• Intestinal lymphangiectasia
• Chylothorax & chylous ascites
• Intractable malabsorption with steatorrhea
• Cystic fibrosis
• Short Bowel Syndrome
• Fat malabsorption due to liver disease
• Gastrointestinal disorders
Precautions
• Flavouring is not recommended in infants under 6
months of age
• Allergens: cow’s milk, nuts and products thereof,
corn and products thereof, saccharose
• Use under strict medical supervision
