Drawtex is an advanced hydro-conductive wound dressing that is clinically proven to transform wound care by addressing one of the most critical challenges in chronic and complex wounds: excess exudate and wound bioburden. Unlike standard absorbent dressings, Drawtex does more than absorb fluid; it actively lifts, holds, and transfers exudate, bacteria, slough, toxins, and harmful matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) both vertically and horizontally away from the wound bed. Because of its three types of action (capillary, hydro-conductive, and electrostatic), made possible by exclusive LevaFiber Technology, Drawtex can be used as a first-line dressing as part of the standard of care for wound bed preparation.
Application Guidelines
- The cut may be cut to conform to the wound shape. Any side may be placed against the wound bed.
- Apply to dry or low-exudate wounds, place a non-adherent perforated contact layer before applying Drawtex. Ensure direct contact with the wound bed for best results.
- For moderate to highly exudating wounds, apply directly. Add multiple layers as required for heavy exudate.
- Cover: Use an appropriate secondary dressing or bandage. Non-occlusive tapes or wraps are recommended to secure Drawtex in place.
- Change Replace every 1-3 days as necessary. Once exudate is controlled, intervals may be extended. If adherent, irrigate with saline before removal for atraumatic dressing changes.
